Netflix, once known for mailing DVDs, is now venturing into brick-and-mortar retail with “Netflix House” stores.
These locations will sell merchandise from popular Netflix shows, offering fans a chance to get items like themed coffee mugs. In addition to shopping, Netflix House will provide dining experiences and curated live events.
The inaugural stores will feature an obstacle course inspired by the hit series “Squid Game,” even though this may diverge from the show’s original satirical intent.
The stores will feature rotating art installations based on beloved shows, and serve cuisine and drinks featured in the streamer’s unscripted food reality programs, ranging from casual to high-end dining.
The first two US locations are slated to open in 2025, with plans for more global outlets later on. Netflix aims to elevate customer immersion in the worlds of its movies and shows.
While Netflix has previously experimented with pop-up experiences for specific shows, Netflix House will encompass the entirety of its content library. Details regarding menus, locations, and other specifics are still being finalized for the venture, which is set to launch in over a year.
