Jul 17 2024 Share

Netflix has fans at the edge of their seats with a sneak peek in  the behind the scenes of the Sci-Fi series “Stranger Things” season 5. In the video posted on Youtube, fans got a glimpse of the most awaited season  of the series yet. The bulk of the footage is dedicated to the series’ main cast, and showrunners Ross and Matt Duffer in memory of the 8th anniversary of the popular series’ Netflix debut.

That being said, the video provides us with some new interesting details about  Stranger Things 5. For starters it appears that the highly anticipated fifth instalment will feature a time jump, a whole year after the events of season 5’s forebear.

The teaser also confirms that season 5 will , as previously discussed by the Duffer brothers, features the full ‘core four’. The familiar group dynamics of Stranger Things 5 are returning, starting with the reunion of the ‘core four’—Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), and Will (Noah Schnapp)—and ending with Nancy (Natalie Dyer) and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) reconciling.

Stranger Things season 5 will have more than simply Linda Hamilton, the iconic character from Terminator, as the teaser indicates. Three actors—Nell Fisher, Alex Breaux, and Jake Connelly—have joined the cast of the critically praised programme, Netflix announced in a press release that accompanied the BTS teaser.

Season 5 will centre on the show’s main ensemble, according to the Duffer brothers’ August 2022 interview with Indie Wire. New characters will only be included if they are “integral to the narrative” and assist the plot. But rather of detracting from the main characters of one of the greatest Netflix series, let’s hope that they enhance the overall story.

On Tuesday, Gozo experienced island-wide power cuts for extended hours after fires developed on one of the cables supplying the island. Many frustrated residents took to social media, highlighting their households’ wait of up to five hours without electricity or any feedback from authorities. The lack of live updates further aggravated the situation, leaving many in uncertainty about when their power might be restored.

Enemalta plc addressed the issue with a series of statements, explaining that their engineers and technicians were actively working to restore electricity. According to Enemalta, the disruption began on Tuesday evening when a fire broke out on one of the electricity cables supplying Gozo. This incident affected another cable, exacerbating the outage.
