Netflix and Nike are going to try help people stick to their ‘New Year New Me’ fitness-related resolutions this year.

Starting on December 30, 30 hours of video content will become available on Netflix, through a partnership with Nike.

While new year’s resolutions may not be the best method for losing weight and keeping fit, having access to this type of content may be the start of your fitness journey.

Netflix announced that this will be released in two bashes, available in multiple languages and to users of all subscription plans.

Nike’s training program, is built around an app that helps build healthy habits through fine-tuned training regimens and workout sessions.

11-year-old girl sexually assaulted at school by two 12-year old boys

A police report was filed as an 11-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at school by two 12-year-old boys who were suspended indefinitely from school.

According to Times of Malta, this case was flagged on Tuesday and a spokesperson for the Education Ministry confirmed that an internal inquiry into the incident has been launched.

This morning, Times reported that the assault happened a few weeks ago, and came to light this week after the girl told her mother about the incident. The report explains that one of the boys grabbed the girl’s breasts while the other touched her thigh.

The details of the school are being withheld to protect the identity of the people involved.

1,000 people will have a Christmas Day meal thanks to Caritas Malta

550 people will attend the Christmas Dinner organised by Caritas Malta at the Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana.

Curia will welcome around 550 people who are going through difficult situations or were going to spend Christmas alone. This initiative returns after a two-years.

Those who cannot leave the house and are alone, will receive a meal or a gift and Caritas are calculating that this number will be around 500.

The Christmas Dinner, organised by Caritas Malta, has been held since 2015.

Around 200 volunteers will help at this Christmas Day initiative.

Man allegedly forced ex-partner to use sex toys against her will

A 36-year-old businessman, from Qormi, will spend the festive season in jail after being charged with sexually harassing his ex-partner by allegedly forcing her to use sex toys against her will. The alleged incident happened last Tuesday, in Birkirkara, as the accused is trying to make amends after the end of an 18 month relationship.

The accused, pleaded not guilty to all accusations and according to him, he sent a photo of handcuffs and a whip to his ex-partner’s mobile phone before going to her apartment. He told police that they had already used these sex toys. On the other hand the woman insisted she refused to take part in the act.

Magistrate Marseann Farrugia denied the request for bail, and the accused will spend time in prison whilst the case against him continues in court.
