The Nepal Malta Charity ORG hosted a range of activities in Valletta last Sunday to celebrate Nepal Day and promote their culture on the island.

The celebrations saw Opposition Leader Bernard Grech visiting, along with Marco Cremona, the first Maltese to reach the summit of Mount Everest and Mark Galea Pace, who organised a clean up at Mount Everest’s base camp.

Around 2,500 people gathered in Valletta to celebrate and dance together. Videos uploaded to TikTok shows many dancing together, with many donning traditional Nepalese clothing.

‘The Program was organised with the motive to invite people from Different Nationalities to visit Nepal and feel the beauty of it to increase and promote Tourism in Nepal. To show that Nepal is a Country of different cultural and customs living in a one single roof with harmony and peace.’
