Nationalist MPs and former Eurovision singers Claudette Buttigieg and Julie Zahra took the stage to pay a heartfelt tribute to former Head of Net Media, Karl Gouder, who passed away tragically a few days ago.
As part of the celebrations marking Malta’s 60th Independence anniversary, the Nationalist Party hosted a special event in honor of Karl Gouder. The tribute featured a concert, with performances from Claudette Buttigieg and Julie Zahra, both renowned for their Eurovision backgrounds. The duo performed a rendition of Summertime by The Paul Smith Quartet in a touching homage to their late colleague, celebrating his contributions and legacy.
The event also included performances by Christian Arding, popular singer Amber, and Karei, the winner of this year’s Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza, all of whom added to the heartfelt atmosphere.
Nationalist MP Robert Cutajar, who oversaw the production of the event, expressed his gratitude, saying, “At this event, music and shared experiences from Karl’s colleagues and friends truly stood out. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this tribute so special.” The evening served as both a celebration of Malta’s independence and a poignant remembrance of a beloved figure within the party and the media.
