Today, we witnessed the first official eliminations from Love Island Malta.

The Love Island producers presented the islanders with a challenging and emotional task, which required the girls to decide amongst themselves which of the boys in the villa should be eliminated.

Ultimately, the girls chose Nate to leave the villa. Despite being one of the original islanders, Nate consistently struggled to form a meaningful connection with any of the girls he had coupled with.

According to followers votes on polls released by Malta Daily, Love Island Malta participants Dale & Shanise are most likely to be eliminated from the villa tonight.

Sunday night’s episode ended on a cliffhanger, with Nate & Shanise, Dale & Nicola and Andriy & Soulyama revealed as the public’s bottom three couples, based on in-app voting results.

It was then divulged that the remaining islanders themselves had to vote off two of their peers, with the girls picking which boy has to be eliminated and the boys picking the girl.

From a total of 2,231 votes across all platforms, 69% of users voted Dale as most likely male islander to be eliminated from Love Island Malta while 61% voted Shanise as most likely female to be eliminated.

Nate came in second as most likely islander to be eliminated with 23% of the votes while Andriy received 8%. Of the female islanders, Nicola came in second with 26% of the votes while Soulayma came in third with 13% of the votes.

That said, tonight’s eliminated islanders will be chosen by the remaining people inside the villa, rather than based on public votes, so the fate of the villa lies in the hands of Sven & Gabrielle, Kyle & Marie-Christine and Chelsea and Allen.

Tonight’s episode will air at 10.15pm, as stated by the Love Island Malta social media pages earlier today.
