Multiple Cats Found Attacked & Killed In Sliema

Multiple Cats Found Attacked & Killed In Sliema
Jun 17 2025 Share

Sliema mayor John Pillow took to social media to issue a ‘community alert’ after a number of cats were found attacked and killed in the locality.

The post was originally shared by Debbie Calamatta, who reported the attacks of each cat one by one.

Calamatta reported that screams were heard throughout certain nights but only saw some boys who ran away when confronted.

‘These were very quiet cats and people in the area asked for them as they were also concerned.  They never bothered anyone.’

‘A police report has been filed at Sliema Police Station already and we want to thank them as they were extremely helpful and immediately came to the streets to check with us. They are urging people to call 112 and ask for Sliema Police Station should anyone hear or see something so we do justice by these poor creatures and hopefully avoid from happening again.’

Should Diane Pick Gabriel In Tonight’s Re-Coupling?

Should Diane Pick Gabriel In Tonight's Re-Coupling?
Jun 17 2025 Share

Ok, hear us out.

Diane and Gabriel are not exactly on romantic terms. Both have entered the villa and struggled to find the connection they wished for.

However, with even more recent complications given Diane’s distrust of AJ and Gabriel’s falling out with both of them, it seems as though Diane has been presented with a golden opportunity to save herself and Gabriel in the villa.

Maybe for both of them, it’s really not about romantic love but a strong bond that they developed over the weeks in the villa.

The two were coupled up earlier on and found each other when they needed to spill the tea.

And given the lack of options for both, it only seems to be a smart move, especially given that public opinion of both is relatively positive.

What do you think?

Maltese Craftsmanship: The Heart Of Our Identity

Maltese Craftsmanship: The Heart Of Our Identity
Jun 16 2025 Share

“Maltese craftsmanship is a pillar of our identity. Once we forget it, we lose a part of ourselves,” emphasized the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Anġlu Farrugia, during the inauguration of the Maltese Craftsmanship Exhibition in the Parliament Foyer.

In his speech, the Speaker remarked that craftsmanship is not only a representation of manual work but also a testimony of identity, deep roots, and knowledge passed down from generation to generation. He added that Parliament welcomes this heritage with dignity, as we embrace the artistic work that, for many centuries, has helped build and keep alive our national consciousness.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Malta Crafts Foundation, Elton Micallef, said that this exhibition does not only celebrate products but also values such as authenticity, creativity, dedication, and a sense of community. He said this should inspire everyone to continue appreciating and strengthening craftsmanship as an important part of Malta’s future.

In his address, the Minister for the Economy, Enterprise, and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri, said that this year the exhibition is given special importance, as it is being held in the highest institution of the country.
