The Mriehel underpass, which is part of the Central Link project, was officially inaugurated today by Infrastructure Minister Aaron Farrugia and Infrastructure Malta CEO Ivan Falzon.
The project, which connects the central link with St. Venera, has been a long-awaited development for residents in the area. Minister Farrugia noted that the project had already shown its success, as people had been using the new roads for the past few months, and the feedback had been overwhelmingly positive.
The Mriehel underpass will not only improve traffic flow in the area but will also provide a safer and more efficient alternative for commuters. The project’s completion marks a significant milestone in the central link project’s progress, which aims to improve the country’s transportation infrastructure by upgrading roads and building new tunnels.
During a press conference held in Mriehel, Minister Farrugia and CEO Falzon also announced that more projects would be launched in the zone in the coming months. These projects include the upgrading of other roads and junctions in the area, which will further improve transportation in Malta.
