Miriana Conte Gets Official ‘KANT’ Tattoo

Jun 16 2025 Share

Singer Miriana Conte has revealed a brand new tattoo to celebrate a full year since starting her music project, KANT. She shared the news in a recent Instagram story, looking back on how it all began.
“One year since KANT was born,” she wrote, reflecting on her journey so far.

The new tattoo follows an earlier one of the lips-shaped disco ball a prop she used during the Eurovision season. This fresh ink marks another step in her creative story, showing her strong link to the project.

PN Resembles An NGO More Than A Party, Says Joseph Muscat

PN Resembles An NGO More Than A Party, Says Joseph Muscat
Jun 16 2025 Share

Joseph Muscat has criticised the Nationalist Party (PN) for shrinking its appeal and focus over the past decade, saying it now resembles an NGO rather than a full political party.

He explained that unlike NGOs, which concentrate on specific issues or sectors, a political party must present a broad programme that can govern the whole country.

Muscat pointed out that in other countries, NGOs have successfully transformed into parties by widening their appeal — such as Germany’s Greens or Italy’s Five Star Movement — but this often costs them their original identity.

In Malta, NGOs that tried this route failed to sustain themselves once faced with wider political realities.

In contrast, the PN has narrowed its message, focusing mainly on governance and some environmental issues, losing the diversity needed to attract broader support.

Muscat compared this to a piano playing just one note, no matter how good the musician is, the tune will fail to engage.

A chapel is small and familiar, with the same faces and a comforting routine. A church, however, is larger and more chaotic, filled with diverse people, distractions, and disagreements — yet it remains united as one community, Muscat wrote.

Muscat argued that the PN must become a church, saying that in the past 10 years it has changed 4 musicians but played the same note.

What do you think of Muscat’s commentary?

Ben Camille Speaks Out On Yesterday's Intense Episode

Taking to social media after a very intense Love Island Malta episode, which saw the islanders sit down to view scenes from the past episodes they didn’t get to see just yet, producer Ben Camille issued an important message.

‘Love isn’t about never arguing – it’s about caring enough to feel strongly’, he wrote.

‘The hurt comes from closeness. The healing comes from the love that refuses to let go.’

‘Sometimes,’ he continued, ‘we hurt each other not because we don’t care, but because we do. In the end true love always wins. Ps. Remember these are real people. Real emotions.’

The episode saw several islanders go head to head – Michela and Cruyff over a pool kiss and a late night chat the latter had with others; Sean with Yennifer after she saw his Casa Amor kiss with Nazan; Diane and Gabriel over their suspicion that AJ and Carmen planned their villa entry, and a lot more.

What do you think?

Malta Airport Now With Direct Flights To Stuttgart & Helsinki
Jun 16 2025 Share

Malta International Airport has expanded its summer route network with the introduction of direct flights to Stuttgart and Helsinki.

Stuttgart is a completely new destination for the airport, while the route to Helsinki marks the return of a connection that had been absent for six years. Now operated by Norwegian, the Helsinki service further strengthens Malta’s links with the Scandinavian market.

These new routes follow a busy May, during which the airport welcomed 927,709 passengers, representing an 8.1% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

A seat load factor of 84.9% was recorded, showing strong and consistent demand for travel to and from Malta.

The United Kingdom remained Malta International Airport’s top market for the second consecutive month, accounting for 22.4% of total traffic.

Italy, Germany, Poland and France followed closely behind. Notably, Poland was the fastest-growing market, registering a 35.8% increase in passenger numbers year on year.

This rise was largely fuelled by more frequent flights on the Warsaw route and the introduction of a new airline operating to and from Poland.

These developments highlight Malta’s growing appeal as a travel destination and the airport’s continued efforts to enhance its connectivity with key European cities.
