Minister and Parliamentary Secretary test negative for COVID-19

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has communicated that both Minister Evarist Bartolo and Parliamentary Secretary Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi have been both subject to health assessment by the Superintendence for Public Health and “after checking all the precautions taken, it was established that they were not at risk” following exposure assessment and no close contact. 

Thus, it was also advised that neither one of them had to go into mandatory quarantine.

The Minister and Parliamentary Secretary have both been swabbed and tested negative for COVID-19.

Belgian Minister Sophie Wilmes has been admitted into intensive care after testing positive for COVID-19 last week. 

Fellow foreign ministers around Europe took to social media to wish her a speedy recovery as she remains conscious and communicative for the time being.

Ronaldo tests positive again, will miss Barcelona match

Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’ has reported that Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time.

Ronaldo first tested positive on October 13 and according to UEFA regulations, players must return a negative result by a minimum of one week before a match to be able to compete.

With that in mind, the Portuguese star will miss the Champions League match against Barcelona.
