Rock legend Jon Bon Jovi has confirmed to the BBC that his son, Jake Bongiovi, has married Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown.

Speaking on BBC’s The One Show, Bon Jovi said, “They are great, they are absolutely fantastic,” dispelling recent speculation about the couple’s status.

“It was a very small, family wedding, and the bride looked gorgeous. Jake is as happy as can be. It’s true.”

British actress Millie Bobby Brown, 20, is best known for her role as Eleven in the Netflix sci-fi series Stranger Things and has also appeared in two Godzilla films. The couple announced their engagement in April 2023 when Brown shared an Instagram photo featuring her engagement ring while embracing 22-year-old model and actor Bongiovi.

Brown captioned the post with a lyric from Taylor Swift’s song “Lover”: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”

The couple has yet to officially confirm the wedding themselves. Brown previously expressed her joy in planning the wedding, telling Elle UK earlier this year, “It’s been an unbelievable journey.

Every time we have a new wedding meeting, Jake and I take a picture to capture the moment. He’s loving every second of it. I haven’t faced any stressful times yet, which reflects how ready and excited we are.”

The Malta Football Association (MFA) and the Malta Football Players Association (MFPA) have agreed on a new two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance the technical and sporting conditions for players in the Malta women’s national team.

This MOU adheres to the UEFA Minimum Standards Framework for Women’s National Teams, prioritizing player welfare, training, and competitive performance.

The third MOU in three years, this agreement demonstrates the commitment of both organizations to the growth of women’s football in Malta and acknowledges the dedication of the players.

The MOU introduces significant benefits, including improved call-up appearance fees and bonuses, a parental and pregnancy support policy allowing breastfeeding players to bring their child and a support person, and enhanced travel arrangements.

Dr. Angelo Chetcuti, MFA General Secretary and member of UEFA’s Working Group on Women’s National Team Standards, emphasized that the MOU aims to reward player commitment and elevate team standards. He highlighted the importance of continued improvement and support, aligning with the MFA’s strategy to foster long-term growth in women’s football.

Carlo Mamo, MFPA General Secretary, praised the collaborative effort to reach a fair agreement, acknowledging the challenges but affirming the collective effort towards a beneficial resolution for all parties.

WhatsApp To Make Major Changes After Backlash From Users

WhatsApp To Make Major Changes After Backlash From Users
May 29 2024 Share

After the Meta-owned app’s recent update gained a lot of negative responses. The majority of people expressed concern over the changes, calling it everything from “ugly” to just “irritating.”

However, as we’ve already seen, the instant messenger doesn’t hesitate to retract its actions when they don’t sit well with users.

Recall the brief period when it converted the lowercase terms “online” and “typing,” which display beneath a contact’s name, to capital letters? Thankfully they fixed that after backlash from users.

Prior to this, Meta said that the changes it was making were intended to give WhatsApp a “new, modern experience and make it more accessible as well as easier to use. “By changing its colours, it appears that the app is now trying to make up for upsetting iOS users last month.

After years of the same appearance, most iOS users awoke to see an intense green aesthetic. After a significant redesign, the chat-list window, the status bar, and the settings alerts all started to display the green colour that is connected to the messaging app. Even links sent in chats have changed from their previous blue tint to green, adding insult to injury.

Users may now be able to select from a wider variety of chat theme hues, so you may modify it to your preference and get rid of that awful green. The theme colour you choose will also determine the hue of the wallpaper and chat bubbles.

In addition, it appears like WhatsApp is making a significant effort to win back the public by developing a new feature that will let you customise the accent colour of the app.

What do you think of this new update?
