MFSA’s chief financial regulator, Joseph Cuschieri as well as MFSA official Edwina Licari have self-suspended themselves after the revelation of their attendance of Yorgen Fenech’s all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas.
Reports have also revealed that OPM official Charlene Bianco Farrugia also attended the Las Vegas trip.
Fenech is currently being charged with conspiring to murder Daphne Caruana Galizia in 2017.

This Sunday 1st November Festivals Malta is organising two free drive-in concerts at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali!
The children’s edition will be held from 11AM until 2PM where children are encouraged to wear costumes and will feature animations and music. The evening event is a Maltese Hits edition and will feature 2 one-hour shows from the Spiteri Lucas Band.
Both events are free of charge and can be booked from festivals.mt – they are both drive-in events where attendants should respect COVID-19 measures and restrictions and remain in the car for the whole show.

As Malta has registered 76 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours with 110 recoveries, the number of active cases has dropped slightly as recoveries exceed overnight cases.
Malta currently stands at 1,891 active cases.
To date, Malta has registered 5.942 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 3,990 have recovered, 61 died and 1,891 are still active.

Malta has registered 76 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 3,075 swab tests, while 110 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.
Details on new active cases will be given by Prof. Charmaine Gauci during a press briefing at 12:30, which will be streamed on saħħa.
To date, Malta has registered 5,866 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 3,880 have recovered, 59 died and 1,927 are still active.
