Batten down the hatches and grab those ice-cold drinks, because Malta is in the grip of a relentless heatwave that shows no signs of relenting!

According to predictions from the trusty MET office, the island is set to continue sizzling for the next few days, with temperatures reaching scorching highs that will have us all melting like ice cream on a summer’s day.

The MET office has issued a sweltering warning that the heatwave is far from over, as the mercury is expected to shoot up to a jaw-dropping 43 degrees Celsius until Tuesday.

From sunup to sundown, Malta will be enveloped in a relentless heatwave that will have even the most seasoned sun worshippers reaching for the sunblock and seeking shelter indoors.

As the heatwave continues its relentless assault, we’re reminded to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during the peak heat hours. It’s crucial to look after ourselves and our loved ones, especially the young, elderly, and vulnerable, who may be more susceptible to the extreme heat.

On the other hand, the MET office predicts that as s we inch towards the latter part of the week, temperatures are expected to dip slightly, bringing some relief to the sun-scorched masses.
