WATCH: Malta’s first trans woman candidate breaks down gender, orientation and pansexuality

Mar 9 2022 Share

In our latest episode of ‘The Interview with Fabian Demicoli’, Volt Malta candidate and Malta’s first trans woman candidate Thomas ‘Kass’ Mallia explained how gender and orientation are two completely different concepts.

Mallia stated that she always had a preference for people who are typically women but her orientation could be considered as ‘bisexual’ in common terms and ‘pansexual’ in more direct terms. She explained that pansexuality means that one would be emotionally attached to another individual and has no preference on how a person looks.

Mallia then outlined having an aesthetic preference of feminine looks, which can also be men. “It could be a man, woman, someone of an intersex orientation… I’m more incline to personality and a feminine aesthetic.”
