Mel Gibson Lifts Birgu Regatta Club Shield

During his stay in Malta, scouting areas for his next big projects, internationally acclaimed director and actor Mel Gibson visited this year’s Regatta champions Birgu and held up the Shield trophy together with the team.

The Birgu Regatta club took to social media to share the bizarre but wholesome moment, posing for a photo with the actor holding up the shield-shaped trophy.

Vittoriosa won this year’s Freedom Day Regatta, beating Senglea and Cospicua, with the latter (who placed 3rd) having shared the trophy with Birgu last year.

For Birgu, it is the first time they have lifted the Victory Day Regatta shield outright since their triumph in 1984.

61 Turtles Hatch From 6th Nest In Ramla Bay, Gozo

The Environment & Resources Authority (ERA) and Nature Trust Malta (NTM) announced that the sixth nest of this summer has hatched, producing 61 turtle hatchlings.

Nest six was found at Ramla Bay in Gozo on 28/07/2024, and was carefully opened by ERA and NTM on 13/09/24.

The nest held a total of 93 eggs with 61 successfully making their way out and into the sea.

A very successful summer for turtle nests indeed!

Cardi B And Offset Welcome Their Third Child Despite Recent Divorce

Taking to Instagram earlier today, global sensation Cardi B revealed that she has given birth to her and Offset’s third child together, despite getting divorced a few weeks ago.

“The sweetest little thing,” the rapper captioned the post, adding pink heart and flower emojis. She also shared the birth date as “9/7/24,” revealing the baby was born on Saturday, September 7.

Cardi and Offset were already parents to 6-year old daughter Kulture and 3-year old son Wave and will now have another baby girl joining their ranks.

The pictures and videos posted by Cardi includes father Offset cradling the little baby and the mother Cardi B cradling the baby whilst music is going on.

She announced her pregnancy only a day after she filed for divorce from Offset.

The two have had a rock on again off again relationship and marriage for six years now, with the rapper stating that “With every ending comes a new beginning!” when announcing her 3rd pregnancy.
