Mediterrane Film Festival has rolled out a film programme that includes 55 screenings spread over nine days, starting from Saturday 21 June.
The festival, organised by the Malta Film Commission, will blend blockbuster premieres, arthouse features, local productions and open-air classics at some of the island’s most iconic sites, including Fort Ricasoli, Laparelli Gardens, Spazju Kreattiv as well as the Embassy Cinemas in Valletta.
This year’s edition kicks off with a screening of Gladiator II, paying tribute to Malta’s century-long role as a focal point for major Hollywood productions. Other headline titles include Popeye, Murder on the Orient Express, Assassin’s Creed, Troy, and Wicked.
Among the most interesting screenings include Fiume o Morte!, The Theft of The Caravaggio, Harvest, Hot Milk, Where the Wind Comes From and Maltese production Ciao Ciao, among others.
Tickets are limited: mediterrane.com.
All proceeds from screenings will be donated to Puttinu Cares.
