In a message from MCAST, Swieqi local council candidate and student Jordan Galea Pace spoke about the ordeal MCAST students currently find themselves in.

Due to no agreements between the MUT and the government, directives at MCASt currently mean that students will not have their marks handed to them, leaving them in limbo as to whether they will graduate or move on to the next year.

Messi Wins FIFA Best Men’s Player Of 2023

Messi Wins FIFA Best Men's Player Of 2023

Lionel Messi secured the FIFA Best Men’s Player award in a closely contested battle with Erling Haaland, relying on a tiebreaker based on first-place votes from national team captains.

Despite both players accumulating 48 points, Messi’s 107-64 lead in captain votes secured his victory. Messi, now with Inter Miami after leaving Paris Saint-Germain, played a pivotal role in their Leagues Cup triumph, marking his impact on U.S. soccer.

Aitana Bonmati, the 25-year-old Spanish playmaker, claimed FIFA’s best women’s football player title, adding to her impressive collection of accolades, including the Ballon d’Or. Bonmati led Spain to World Cup glory and Barcelona to the Champions League title, earning recognition as the player of the tournament for both competitions.

Pep Guardiola was named the best men’s coach, steering Manchester City to a historic treble. Meanwhile, England coach Sarina Wiegman received the women’s coaching prize for guiding the Lionesses to the World Cup final.

Messi’s eighth FIFA award in 15 years came after a season where he led Argentina to World Cup success and made a significant impact in the MLS with Inter Miami.

The voting process highlighted fan support for Messi, journalist favoritism towards Haaland, and crucial backing from national team captains for the Argentine star. The eligibility period excluded the World Cup, focusing on achievements from after the tournament until August 20.

Here’s What People Think Of Franco Debono Returning To PN

Here’s What People Think Of Franco Debono Returning To PN
Jan 16 2024 Share

After a Facebook post uploaded by PN MP Alex Borg, people took to the comments section to express what they thought about the prospect of Debono returning to the Opposition.

Many said that Debono should in fact return to the party, saying that both him and Borg would be able to change the party for the better.

One described Franco Debono as still valid in his liberal thought and said that he would be a positive force for the Nationalist Party.

However, there were those who do not support the return, with one saying that a ‘true nationalist would not celebrate a Labour victory or vote against his own party.’

Another said that Debono never expressed remorse for how he treated the Nationalist Party and that he celebrated when Labour won in 2013.

What do you think?
