It’s not every day that so many Maltese singers collaborate, but when they do you better believe that you are in for an anthem. ‘Skin Deep’ is the latest track to come from singer-songwriter Maxine Pace and brings on Michela Pace, Destiny and Gaia Cauchi for a self-love anthem which is taking the island by storm.

Four of Malta’s most loved female solo artists have come together for a smooth yet powerful ballad which attempts to share the message of self-love, truth and empowerment, with the lyrics highlighting the importance of learning how to love oneself authentically, even in the most vulnerable of days. “The group aims to empower listeners to remain true to themselves, even as time passes and life throws at things we cannot control.”

The video, directed by Steven Levi Vella, shows the 4 singers “stripped down, showing them in their most vulnerable state, whilst holding on to each other as a way of reflecting self-love and empowerment.”

Skin Deep was written by Maxine pace and Matthew ‘Muxu’ Mercieca, and is the leading single from Maxine’s recent EP.
