Taking to Instagram story, Matthew, along with Evelyn, posted their first official story outside of the Love Island Malta villa after their Season 3 win.

Matthew asked Evelyn how she feels, with the latter saying: ‘I think I love you so much and thank you everyone’.

Matthew and Evelyn were still at the official party after the episode’s airing, having gotten their hands on their phones after around six weeks in the villa.

A subsequent story has the two huddled up together and with a caption explaining that they will respond to everyone the following day.

A 59 year old man resident of Iklin is at risk of dying after, in the early hours of Sunday 29th June, he was diving in Ċirkewwa.

At around 0900hrs, assistance was requested as the diver found difficulty whilst diving and had to be taken ashore by other people.

He was given medical assistance on site and was transported to Mater Dei Hospital.

An inquiry has been opened and investigations are ongoing.

The saga of Malta summer dolphin spotting continues, with marine biologist Alan Deidun sharing a video sent to him by Monica Farrugia of a pod of dolphins off the coast of Xlendi, Gozo.

The dolphins were likely bottlenose, Deidun explained on social media.

Maltese Drummer Daniel Said Steals The Show In Glastonbury

Maltese drummer Daniel Said has once again shined a brighting light not only on himself but also on Malta’s music scene after performing at the UK’s biggest music festival, Glastonbury.

Said, who has been drumming for over 23 years, shared his excitement and gratitude in a heartfelt message online. “It hasn’t always been easy to keep going. Moments like this are overwhelming,” he wrote in a post featuring a reel of him performing on the big stage.

He also paid tribute to his late mother, writing, “I hope the view is good from up there mum, I’m doing the thing. I love you.”

Daniel is currently the drummer for rising British artist Myles Smith, who has over a million fans and a growing international following. Said joined Smith on his two latest world tours – The Slightly Less Lonely Tour in 2024 and The We Were Never Strangers Tour in 2025.

This isn’t Daniel’s first appearance at Glastonbury. He also performed at the festival in 2024, further cementing his place among the top Maltese musicians performing on international stages.

His journey is a true example of perseverance, talent, and dedication to music as he continues to make Malta proud.
