‘I don’t want to give these messages any importance, BUT I feel the need to raise awareness’, wrote Tina.

‘A product of man’s selfishness that goes against God’s plan’, wrote one commenter, whereas others argued that it would have negative effects on the child.

Others even referred to Italy’s passing of surrogacy as a universal criminal act.

‘I get that not everyone will agree with my journey, BUT at the end of the day, my family is built on love, and that’s what truly matters.’

‘As I always say, love is love. Hate is NOT something I like to entertain, so I push it away.’

A video uploaded to social media by ‘Din Malta Tagħna’ shows a man, shirtless, in the middle of the road in Paceville waving around what seems to be a metal pole.

The man can first be seen waving the object at a car driving by before turning towards people on the pavement watching on.

It is unclear what prompted the man to do this, whether anyone was hurt and whether authorities addressed the situation.

Team Malta concluded its participation at the Paris 2024 Paralympics with Antonio Flores achieving another seasonal best, clocking 26.67 seconds in the T64 200m heats.

Although this time was not enough to advance to the final round, the Malta Paralympic Committee celebrates Antonio for officially becoming Malta’s first two-time Paralympian in Para Athletics and the country’s first athlete to compete in the blade running class at the Games.

Antonio’s achievement highlights his unwavering determination and resilience, especially after a major setback in 2021 when he ruptured his Achilles tendon while attempting to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

His comeback to the sport stands as an inspiring example of human willpower and perseverance.

The Malta Paralympic Committee extends its congratulations to Antonio Flores for his remarkable journey and accomplishments, which continue to pave the way for future athletes in Malta.
