Marsaxlokk Waterpolo Pitch approved and comes with an investment of €2.3 million

Minister for tourism, Clayton Bartolo announced a Marsaxlokk Waterpolo Pitch as part of a project aimed at the regeneration of Marsaxlokk.

This Waterpolo pitch was just approved by the Malta Planning Authority and will come with an investment of €2.3 million.

The Waterpolo Pitch will occupy part of the Magħluq area of Marsaxlokk. Most of the area will be pedestrianised and optimised for residents, tourists as well as fishermen.

The Rainforest Café is a popular American chain which boasts over-the-top rainforest decorations along with animatronics.

It’s a place enjoyable by children and adults alike and it’s coming to Malta, at what used to be Hard Rock Café’s Bay Street location.

Today’s 245 cases is the highest number of COVID-19 cases reported in Malta

Today’s cases of COVID-19 amount to 245 cases.

This is the highest number ever recorded in Malta since the outbreak last year.

245 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 69 recoveries

Malta has registered 245 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 3,592 swab tests, while 69 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

From yesterday’s cases; 40 cases were family members of previously known cases, 22 cases were contacts of positive work colleagues, 15 cases were direct contacts with other positive cases, 13 cases were from social gatherings.

To date, Malta has registered 14,212 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 11,759 have recovered, 232 died and 2,034 are still active.
