Looking for the perfect way to spend a fun-filled day with your family before the new school year? This event is just for you! From 5pm onwards, Saving our Blue and the Sustainable Development Directorate will be organising a series of activities at this beach.

While discovering the importance of protecting our seas and marine life, you’ll find plenty of fun activities and entertainment for everyone, such as virtual reality, face painting, bouncy castle, live music from several artists, and food and drinks.

Winston The Weasel Successfully Rehabilitated At Wildlife Rehab Centre

The Wildlife Rescue Team Malta has shared the uplifting story of Winston, a weasel who was brought to their Wildlife Rehab Centre with serious injuries but made a full recovery thanks to their efforts.

The team’s mission is to rescue and rehabilitate protected species, which are illegal to keep as pets. When these animals are injured, the Wildlife Rehab Centre Malta is one of the few places equipped to help.

They expressed their gratitude to the public for always notifying them when animals are in distress, as well as to their dedicated vets and volunteers who work tirelessly on rescue and rehabilitation efforts.

Over 1,000 People Coming To Malta For Poker Tournament ‘The Festival’

The Festival Series Malta promises an immersive blend of live poker and rich Maltese culture, with a comprehensive hospitality schedule designed to enhance the player experience. Kicking off on Sunday, September 8, the event welcomes players at Portomaso Casino with “Welcome Drinks” in the cash game area, setting the tone for a week of poker, activities, and sunshine.

Monday begins with a pizza lunch at “The Avenue,” followed by daily “Boxercise” sessions starting Tuesday, offering a chance to stay active with trainer Christian at the scenic Portomaso Marina. One of the highlights is a visit to the CISK Brewery on Tuesday, where participants will enjoy a guided tour and tastings of Malta’s favorite brew. The day concludes with an exhilarating round of poker at the casino.

Wednesday brings a pool party at the Flo Sky Pool, providing a relaxed yet lively atmosphere with drinks, music, and swimming. In the evening, players can indulge in a wine-tasting session at the rooftop of the JL Hotel, pairing Maltese wines with local cheeses. Additional wine-tasting sessions are available throughout the week, with pre-registration required.

Thursday offers a catamaran sailing adventure from the Sliema Waterfront, followed by more wine tasting in the evening. The final boxing sessions continue on Friday morning, preparing players for an exciting day of poker. The day also features another wine-tasting session at the JL Hotel.

Saturday sees the continuation of the Main Event and Mystery Bounty tournament, culminating in an epic Player’s Party. On Sunday, the series concludes with a guided tour, a must-do in Malta, providing a fitting end to the unforgettable hospitality experience.

Throughout the event, hospitality hostess Alona is available to assist with any questions and registration needs, ensuring participants enjoy a seamless and memorable poker vacation in Malta.

Kendrick Lamar To Headline 2025 SuperBowl Halftime

Kendrick Lamar is set to headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9. This announcement comes after a standout year for the rapper, marked by two number-one singles in the US, both aimed at rival rapper Drake. Lamar, no stranger to the Super Bowl stage, previously performed alongside Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and 50 Cent in 2022.

In a YouTube video teasing the performance, Lamar is seen shooting footballs from an automatic passing machine while standing in front of an American flag. “No round twos,” Lamar declares, inviting fans to join him in New Orleans. “Wear your best dress, even if you’re watching from home.”
