In an empowering message shared to his TikTok, singer Mark Anthony encouraged anyone thinking about seeking further education to not give up as one is ‘never too old.’

Mark Anthony encouraged his followers to follow their dreams, recounting his own journey.

He recounted how he had spent some time working after stopping education, but eventually returned to University and graduated twice.

In 2018, he started his Bachelor’s in Music, and then returned for a Master’s after a period of freelancing.

Now a teacher, Mark continued to encourage his followers to not give up and follow their dreams.

Malta’s Eurovision Song Approved By EBU: Changes Still Unknown

According to radio station Magic 91.7, Miriana Conte’s Eurovision song was officially approved by the Eurovision Broadcasting Union.

According to the radio station, ‘Serving’ has been approved by the EBU.

However it is still unclear what changes were made, with the singer releasing a teaser yesterday evening.

A release will be dropping today, Friday 14th March, at 6PM, and will reveal to the Maltese public – as well as the eager global Eurovision community – what Miriana will be doing given the ban on the word ‘Kant’.

Minister for the Arts Owen Bonnici had stated that the option of a lawsuit in Swiss courts over the ban was being considered, labelling the ban on the word as a ‘textbook case of artistic censorship’ against the Maltese language.

Meet Malta’s Team For 2025 FIFA World Cup European Qualifiers

Malta’s national football coach, Emilio De Leo, has announced a provisional 37-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup European qualifiers.

Malta will kick off their Group G campaign with a home match against Finland on Friday, 21st March 2025, at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium, starting at 20:45.

This fixture will mark De Leo’s first competitive match since his appointment as Head Coach in January. Three days later, Malta will travel to Warsaw for a challenging away game against Poland at the Stadion Narodowy on Monday, 24th March, also at 20:45.

The squad includes a mix of experienced players, promising youngsters, and newcomers.

Among them, James Lee Carragher (Wigan Athletic) and Ilyas Chouaref (FC Sion), recently granted Maltese citizenship by descent, bring the number of foreign-based players to nine.

Returning from injury are Steve Borg and Luke Montebello (Ħamrun Spartans FC), while young talents such as Mattias Ellul, Sven Xerri, Juan Carlos Corbalan, Jake Grech, Bjorn Kristensen, Adam Magri Overend, and Brandon Diego Paiber have also been included.

Defender Zach Muscat, now playing in Turkey, is also named in the squad.

New faces include Andrew (Andy) Borg (Gżira United FC), Jake Azzopardi (Valletta FC), and Isaiah Chukunyere (Hibernians FC), alongside Mattia Veselji (Serbia) and Aleandro Garzia (Floriana FC).

Defender Gabriel Mentz is suspended, while Jurgen Degabriele, Kemar Reid, Jodie Jones, and Dylan Scicluna miss out due to injury.

Tickets are available online and at the stadium’s ticket booths on match day.

Man Grievously Injured After Double-Decker On Vitz Crash

Yesterday, at around 1445hrs, police were informed of an accident that had taken place in Triq ir-Rabat, Żebbuġ, Gozo.

Police convened immediately on site, and preliminary investigations showed that a crash had taken place between a double decker, driven by a 45 year old man resident of Xewkija, and a Toyota Vitz, driven by an Egyptian man.

The double decker was carrying four foreign passengers: two women and two men all aged 70 and above.

A medical team was called on site, along with Civil Protection. All were transported to Gozo General Hospital for further medical attention.

It was later revealed that the passengers were certified to have suffered light injuries, whereas the double decker bus suffered no injuries.

Unfortunately, the Egyptian man suffered grievous injuries. Investigations by police are still ongoing.
