Farrugia’s exceptional performance in challenging conditions on Merseyside proved instrumental, as she scored both goals in United’s 2-0 win.

Battling the remnants of Storm Darragh at Jericho Lane, the match began cautiously, with both sides struggling to create clear opportunities.

However, Farrugia broke the deadlock. Cutting inside from range, she unleashed a stunning strike that soared over the goalkeeper, hitting the underside of the crossbar before finding the net.

After the break, United continued to push forward, and while Monique Robinson narrowly missed doubling the lead, Farrugia capitalized on a well-executed team play. Eva Butler displayed resilience in driving into the box under defensive pressure and set up Farrugia for an easy tap-in, sealing her brace.

This standout performance highlighted Farrugia’s talent and importance to the team. Late defensive pressure from the Feds couldn’t dent United’s resolve, as they secured a clean sheet and progressed confidently to the next round.

Shein & Temu Ordered To Recall Children’s Shoes Due To Harmful Chemicals

Shein & Temu Ordered To Recall Children's Shoes Due To Harmful Chemicals
Dec 9 2024 Share

The Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA) has ordered the recall of five children’s footwear products sold by online platforms Shein and Temu.

Laboratory tests revealed that these items violated the REACH Regulation 1907/2006 due to excessive levels of hazardous chemicals, including cadmium, lead, phthalates, and paraffins.

These substances, while commonly used in materials for flexibility, flame retardancy, or coloration, are strictly regulated due to potential health risks.

The MCCAA’s Technical Regulations Division tested 10 children’s products, including T-shirts, matching sets, slippers, and rain boots.

While no issues were found in the clothing items, all five tested footwear products failed to meet the regulatory standards.

Consumers in Malta who purchased these recalled items are urged to stop using them immediately. Sellers are required to contact affected buyers to arrange refunds.

The MCCAA encourages consumers with concerns or questions to email [email protected].

This recall emphasises the importance of ensuring children’s products meet strict safety standards, and the MCCAA remains committed to protecting consumers from harmful goods. A detailed list of the recalled items is available from the authority.

From some fast footwork, the dancer goes into a cartwheel, a split and a backspin – and he pulls them all off impressively well.

No wonder he formed a circle around him as onlookers marvelled at his skill. The video racked up over 15.8K likes on the platform – and it’s no surprise.
