Man seriously injured in motorcycle accident

A 38 year-old man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Ħal Far at around 7.45PM last night.

The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday night.

UK approve Pfizer vaccine; to begin rolling out next week

In a striking turn of events, the United Kingdom is the first country in the world to approve the COVID-19 vaccination developed by Pfizer and BioNTech, being given approval by the British health regulator.

The vaccine, which has been proven to be 95% effective in clinical trials, will be readily-available from next week, with the UK government locking in 40 million doses.

They are expected to roll out 10 million doses by the end of 2020.

Christmas advert season is officially upon us, and this year’s offering from Malta International Airport is as heartwarming as ever.

For 2020, MIA’s Christmas advert, titled ‘A letter to santa’, follows the journey of a luggage bag whose family, like the rest of us, didn’t have an easy year.

Valletta New Year’s Eve event replaced by a TV variety show

The annual New Year’s Eve celebrations in Valletta have been cancelled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Valletta Cultural Agency have planned a variety show instead of the traditional celebrations.

The show will run for three hours and will feature different national and international talent. This variety show will start at 10PM on the 31st of December 2020 and will run until 1AM on the 1st of January 2021.
