Man proposes to his girlfriend with a packet of Chicken McNuggets

Chicken McNuggets are always the best idea for any occasion, and one Australian lad decided to take it to the next level by proposing with them.

Comedian Aaron Chen shared his stunt to social media, showing how he placed an engagement ring in a six pack of McNuggets. We have to say, he’s just completely upped the game in every way.

Chen’s now-fiancé Esther Shim showed off her new bling outside a Cash Converters store, and it seems like the most chill and wholesome engagement ever. Chen, being a comedian, took to social media to congratulate himself for getting engaged.

His followers quickly jumped onto the bandwagon and congratulated him for the move, with many commending his style of popping the big question.

The stand-up comic had won Best Newcomer at the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and has bagged another nomination for the 2022 festival for Most Outstanding Show.

And we bet that his engagement story will make not only for some quality comedy material, but also a bizarre dad story should the couple go on to have kids. Just imagine it: I proposed to your mum with Chicken McNuggets.

Audi and Porsche will join Formula 1 by 2026 reveals Volkswagen chief

Audi and Porsche will join Formula 1 by 2026 reveals Volkswagen chief
May 3 2022 Share

Porsche and Audi, Volkswagen’s premium brands, will be joining Formula 1 after the German auto-making group was convinced into the move as ‘it will bring in more money than it will cost.’

VW chief executive Herbert Diess revealed the news, saying that discussions by the board of directors about the brands’ plans had created some divisions.

Speaking on Monday at an event in Wolfsburg, where the German carmaker headquarters are situated, it was finally decided that more money could be made through an F1 commitment.

There has been speculation for several months that the two brands were negotiating partnerships to enter what could be seen as the highest international motor racing class.

The field has been rather dominated by Volkswagen’s German rival Mercedes for the last decade. Diess explained that the timing of the decision has been heavily impacted by the sport’s new engine regulation which will come into effect into 2026.

In order to catch up with the already established racers, the brands will be using the fact that a major rule change will be implemented to avoid having to fine-tune for what is already there.

It is expected that Porsche will link up with Red Bull, as they have been linked for several years and who have their own Powertrains Division focused on the 2026 changes. Audi’s fated link is undecided, but it is reported that Sauber, Williams and Aston Martin could be likely options.

Taking to social media, Civil Protection Malta unpacked their most recent rescue of two lost dogs which could not make their way back after around two days of being lost.

Two days ago, Civil Protection personnel were alerted that 2 dogs were lost in the cliff area close to Mtaħleb. A search party of fire fighters from Xemxija tried to locate the dogs well into the night, but the search was called off.

The next day, the owner managed to find the dogs who who were too exhausted and needed veterinary attention. Fire fighters were called in once again and the dogs were loaded on stretchers over 2-3km of rough terrain.

They were then subsequently loaded onto a rescue 4WD until the dogs were handed over to an awaiting Animal Welfare Ambulance. The dogs are currently recovering, and we wish them both a speedy healing!

Two kittens found abandoned closed in a paper bag

Two kittens found abandoned closed in a paper bag

Animal Welfare Gozo took to social media to unveil a horrific act of cruelty wherein two kittens, around 3/4 weeks old, were found closed in a paper bag lying on the side of a street in Ghajnsielem.

‘Why and Why’ the page asked, saying that apart from the cruelty of such an action, the cats were placed through suffering which is beyond words to describe.

‘Why, when you can approach us to obtain a free neutering voucher? Please do the right thing and neuter your cats’ the page pleaded. ‘We will always do our best to help you.’

The post was met with lots of condemnation of the action, asking how people could still be so cruel to animals despite all the work that’s been done to raise awareness about their welfare.
