Get Ready For The Mercury Christmas Dome!
Oct 14 2024 Share

This Christmas, the Mercury Towers piazza will be transformed into a marvellous and unique location, where you and your family could experience the true magic of Christmas.

The Mercury Christmas Dome is a structure which will be brought from abroad, 25 meters in diameter and 12.5 meters in height. The ceiling is completely covered with screens allowing for a 360 panoramic projection. While normally, this kind of structure is used for musical activities, in Malta it will host two Christmas activities for all the family.

The first activity is titled The Bigfoot Christmas Tale, produced by the comic duo Daniel Chircop and Chrysander Agius, known as Danusan. They will be accompanied by a number of other actors. Those attending will get to see the animal kingdom like they’ve never seen before, with the participation of Tikka Banda who will also play the role of different animals in this kingdom. The fun part is that in this kingdom, the main mode of communication is through music! Furthermore, the audience will serve a great role as through the use of a mobile or tablet they will be able to help decide how the story develops. In this way, every show will be unique!

The show is catered for all the family, with the very first one happening on the 7th of December. Each show will be limited to a maximum of 340 people. If you’re worried about parking, don’t fret! All those with tickets to the show will be able to park for free. Should you be interested in attending, you can purchase one of three types of tickets, all of which include a number of awesome gifts. Furthermore, with every child ticket, you will get another ticket to access the second activity happening at The Mercury Christmas Dome – Santa’s Little Astronauts!

Santa’s Little Astronauts will offer a unique opportunity where children can experience the magic of becoming Santa Clause’s astronauts. Children will be able to jump into the orbital UV ball-pit, test their skills in some fun quizzes and take up the challenge of getting through an obstacle course. Following, they will take a photo with Santa Clause and will be given an official licence to certify them as part of Santa Clause’s astronaut team.

Furthermore, one can also enjoy some delicious food, drinks, games for children, as well as send a letter to Santa. Children are able to write a letter to Santa on a star and place it in a rocket which will be sent directly to the North Pole right before Christmas.

Enjoy the beauty of Mercury Towers, experience some Christmas cheer, and attend what will probably be the coolest event in Malta this Christmas! For more information and to get your tickets, visit: www.mercurydome.com.
