Jul 31 2023 Share

It’s Ira Losco’s 42nd birthday today (Monday 31st July 2023), with the local queen of pop taking to social media to share some thoughts on the landmark.

‘Wow. Flip that. When I was 24 I never in my life would’ve imagined that years after I would still be doing what I love most’, she wrote.

She dedicated the post to expressing gratitude about not just having the opportunity to perform along with her band, releasing music, selling out concerts, fronting international bands as well as sitting as a judge for X-Factor Malta’s 4th season.

She also dedicated it to having the health and strength to take care of a ‘wonderful family who enrich my life. I love my husband and my children more and more every single day and I cannot wait to grow older with them making beautiful memories.’

’42 years of living life and making it count. I look forward to many more years!  Performing, making music and being on stage!’

‘Thank YOU all for every single message, comment and every single time you have encouraged me to keep going , to every single person I have crossed paths with and yes- inspired me in some way or another. I will forever be grateful’

Happy birthday Ira!

A local, unnamed youth has been praised for collecting bottles and cleaning the local environment in Valletta and subsequently donating the money to the elderly.

The youth was first posted to Facebook and accused of illegally scavenging in other people’s rubbish. He was initially suspected to be a ‘junkie’, using the BCRS scheme to get money from the bottles and leaving the trash open in the capital city.

Later, a post was shared by Anton Rea Cutajar who revealed that the youth was in fact collecting bottles and cleaning the street, whilst also donating the money he made with the bottles to elderly persons in the community.
