Maltese Olympic Committee Appeals for Help to Honour Late Olympians

Jan 25 2025 Share

The Maltese Olympic Committee (MOC) is organising a special event to honour Maltese Olympians and their invaluable contributions to local sports.

While the MOC has successfully reached many athletes and their families, it has encountered challenges in tracing the relatives of some Olympians who have passed away or with whom contact has been lost.

As a result, the Committee is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying and connecting with the families of these late athletes.

The presence of these families at the upcoming event is crucial to ensure that their loved ones’ achievements are properly celebrated and remembered.

By involving the relatives of all Olympians, the MOC aims to pay a fitting tribute to the legacy of these sporting pioneers.

The MOC kindly requests anyone with information about the families of Maltese Olympians who have passed away to get in touch. Details can be shared via email at [email protected] or [email protected] by Monday, 17th February. Alternatively, individuals can fill out a form through the provided link.

Together, we can honour the enduring legacy of our sporting heroes and celebrate their impact on Maltese sport. Your help is greatly appreciated.
