Maltese Mobile Game Makes It To Top 5 in App Store

The Maltese are making leaps in the game development sector as well!

Storm Scout, a game produced by a locally based studio, Twofold Games, has just risen to the top 5 ranking in the App Store.

TwoFold Games has been working on the game for the past two years and released it on both App Store and Google Play to very positive reviews. It has in fact ranked number 5 in the Action Games section as of the moment of writing.

Through this achievement, the studio wishes to motivate young talent to purse a potential career in game development.

According to description, Storm Scout is an atmospheric action game filled with puzzle solving, with players exploring a world of interconnected paths and mazes. With no weapons to fight back against the environment, the player will need to learn about the world, unlock shortcuts and think their way through a whole host of challenges.

12 Year Old Girl Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car

A 12 year old girl was taken to Mater Dei Hospital after she was involved in a traffic accident yesterday at around 1700hrs in Triq il-Bajja is-Sabiħa, Birżebbuġa.

Preliminary investigations showed that the girl was hit by a Toyota Yaris being driven by a 40 year old man resident of Ħaż-Żabbar.

The victim was given preliminary aid by a medical team on site and later transported to Mater Dei, where she was certified as having suffered serious injuries.

An inquiry has been opened as police investigations continue.

Dancing With Pride Takes To Valletta Streets

Yesterday, the activity ‘Dancing with Pride’ took place in Valletta, as part of EuroPride Valletta 2023, where people of all ages came together in a beautiful atmosphere to convey the message of equality from the heart through dance.

While addressing the event, the Parliamentary Secretary for Reforms and Equality, Rebecca Buttigieg, said, “Today, we can all appreciate that when we respect each other and allow everyone to live their freedom, we create a stronger society that is enriched with love.”

While thanking everyone who attended and celebrated diversity, Parliamentary Secretary Rebecca Buttigieg stated that she is looking forward to the upcoming EuroPride in September, where Malta will celebrate its achievements and commit itself to ongoing reforms.

Present at the event alongside Parliamentary Secretary Rebecca Buttigieg were the President of Allied Rainbow Communities, Maria Azzopardi, and the Mayor of Valletta, Alfred Zammit.
