The Extinction Rebellion climate protest blocking the road to Burning Man in Nevada was partly led by Maltese activist Tommy Diacono.

The protest, which was also initiated by Rave Revolution Global, caused a massive traffic jam towards the renowned festival. The intense encounter between activists and drivers culminated in the police arriving on the scene and arresting the former.

The activists were met with gun-wielding police officers, with international news stations reporting the encounter with different takes on the matter – some highlighted the police response as excessive whereas others labelled the activists as an inconvenience.

At one point, the police vehicle rams into the barricade set up by the activists, before they proceed to arrest them at gunpoint.

Turkish-Dutch Corendon Airlines is innovating to minimise disruptions caused by children’s noise during flights by introducing an “only adult zone” for travellers without kids on routes between Amsterdam and Curaçao, starting from November 3rd.

The airline’s press release emphasises that this dedicated zone is designed for child-free travellers and business passengers seeking a tranquil workspace.

Importantly, the initiative aims to alleviate concerns of parents by reducing potential fellow-passenger reactions to children’s restlessness or crying.

The exclusive adult-only section, located in the aircraft’s front portion, will feature nine spacious seats with extra legroom and 93 standard seats. The zone will be physically segregated from the rest of the cabin using partitions and curtains, creating an enclosed environment conducive to a serene flight experience.

For a one-way ticket, seats within the adult-only zone will require an additional fee of 45 euros (approximately $49), while the larger extra-legroom seats will come at an extra cost of 100 euros (about $108). These seats are available for purchase to travellers aged 16 and above.
