An adorable video sent to this newsroom show a father and son surprising a jam packed cinema theatre of Star Wars fans with a lightsaber surprise.
As the open credits are rolling – ‘A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…’ – one of the kids at the cinema switches on his blue lightsaber, receiving a massive applause from the rest of the audience.
May 4th is a special day for Star Wars fans as it plays on the iconic line from the films: ‘may the force be with you’.
Massimo, the father in the scenario, told MaltaDaily that this day is also popular in Malta and that it’s nice to see a new generation really carrying the passion forward.
