
Maltese kickboxer Matteo Vella delivered an impressive first-round knockout victory during The Arena Combat Sports Promotion: Under Siege event held in Birgu.
Representing Team Jalen Kickboxing Club in Tarxien and coached by Mark Manicolo, the 22-year-old fighter stopped his Greek opponent just 17 seconds into the opening round, marking one of the fastest knockouts in the promotion’s history.
Vella’s dominant performance was part of a strong showing by Team Jalen, who recorded four additional victories on the night.

Known for his explosive style and decisive finishes, Vella already holds a WKA title belt and previously made headlines with a knockout win just 1 minute and 40 seconds into a bout.
His rapid progression has positioned him as a standout figure in Malta’s growing combat sports scene.
