Maltese drummer Daniel Said has once again shined a brighting light not only on himself but also on Malta’s music scene after performing at the UK’s biggest music festival, Glastonbury.
Said, who has been drumming for over 23 years, shared his excitement and gratitude in a heartfelt message online. “It hasn’t always been easy to keep going. Moments like this are overwhelming,” he wrote in a post featuring a reel of him performing on the big stage.
He also paid tribute to his late mother, writing, “I hope the view is good from up there mum, I’m doing the thing. I love you.”
Daniel is currently the drummer for rising British artist Myles Smith, who has over a million fans and a growing international following. Said joined Smith on his two latest world tours – The Slightly Less Lonely Tour in 2024 and The We Were Never Strangers Tour in 2025.
This isn’t Daniel’s first appearance at Glastonbury. He also performed at the festival in 2024, further cementing his place among the top Maltese musicians performing on international stages.
His journey is a true example of perseverance, talent, and dedication to music as he continues to make Malta proud.
