Conor McGregor seems to have escaped tragedy after he was hit by a car going at ‘full speed’ whilst cycling in Ireland.

The 34-year-old reportedly sustained no injuries, taking to social media to share a few moments of the aftermath of the incident stating “I could have been dead there”.

As a result of what McGregor called a sun trap, the driver could not see the fighter and drove straight through him, with the Irishman stating that his wrestling and judo knowhow allowed him to stick a life-saving landing.

The driver of the car which hit McGregor offered him a lift home, with McGregor engaging in healthy conversation with the man after the incident.

An MMA & UFC legend in his own right, McGregor last fought in July 2021, where he lost to Dustin Poirier and sustained a serious leg injury.

Could this incident have delayed a return to the Octagon for McGregor?
