Manchester United plan to sue & ban Cristiano Ronaldo following controversial interview

Following the aftermath of Cristiano Ronaldo’s controversial two-part interview with Piers Morgan, Manchester United have assembled a legal team to sue the Portuguese player for alleged breach of contract.

The issue likely means that the Portuguese superstar will never play for Manchester United again, with reports suggesting that Ronaldo has been asked not to return to the United training base after his World Cup performance with Portugal in Qatar.

“Manchester United has this morning initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview. We will not be making further comment until this process reaches its conclusion”, a club statement read.

Mere hours after Ronaldo’s interview aired on Piers Morgan Uncensored, a mural with the player’s likeness removed from Old Trafford’s facade. While the timing of the issue seems to make sense, the club had confirmed that the stadium’s branding had to be changed ahead of the Rugby League World Cup final.
