In his interview with The Times of Malta, son of Klabb Kotba Maltin Founder Pawlu Mizzi, publisher Joseph Mizzi recalled the trials and tribulations his father overcame when starting the publishing house.

Mizzi went on to highlight how the foundation of Maltese literature can be credited to the island’s political resurgence post-1960 and how reading trends changed over the years with publications increasing at an exponential rate.

Significant drop in ITU COVID-19 patients and admissions

Significant drop in ITU COVID-19 patients and admissions
Apr 5 2021 Share

Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne took to Facebook to announce that there has been a significant drop in ITU COVID-19 patients, easing off the pressure exerted on Malta’s health system to a great degree considering the spread of COVID-19.

ITU admissions had decreased by half on April 1st, going from 32 to 15. This not only signifies health measures’ effectiveness, but also the vaccine rollout being successful in decreasing admissions for patients who would need immediate intensive care as 40% of the population has received the first dose of the vaccine. Fearne urges everyone to stay responsible in order to keep the numbers low and work our way out of the pandemic situation gradually.
