Jun 27 2023 Share

Celebrating 25 years of operation, the Jubilee Group has emerged as a true visionary in the culinary industry in Malta. Founded by the Scicluna brothers – Alex, Mario, and Anthony – the group’s journey began in 1998 with the opening of Café Jubilee in Victoria, Gozo.

With a clear vision and unwavering determination, the brothers created a unique ambiance and delectable food that quickly won the hearts of locals and tourists alike. This success paved the way for the expansion of the Jubilee Group, with additional Café Jubilee locations in Valletta and Gzira, as well as the introduction of Jubilee Foods, which offers frozen versions of their popular dishes and gourmet delicacies.

The Jubilee Group’s forward-thinking approach led to further innovation with the creation of Ayu, a restaurant in Gzira that celebrates international cuisines and cultural diversity. The Candy Café, another venture by the group, brought a sweet and nostalgic experience to Gozo, offering a wide range of candies, cakes, and quality coffee. Complementing their culinary brands, Moor and Murella Restaurant in Marsalforn’s Menqa added to the group’s diverse offerings.

To mark their 25th anniversary, the Jubilee Group is celebrating their roots and connections to their childhood. They are organising a series of events, including a dinner at Murella Restaurant to honour the unbreakable bond between the brothers. Additionally, they are inviting 25 children from Victoria Primary School, where the brothers grew up, to a party at the Candy Café.

With a fresh new logo representing all their brands, the Jubilee Group reaffirms their commitment to staying ahead of the curve and embracing future challenges.

Their visionary approach, ability to adapt, and dedication to quality have made them a true innovator in the culinary scene in Malta. As they celebrate this significant milestone, the Jubilee Group continues to create unforgettable dining experiences and inspire others to visualise opportunities.
