Malta’s first standing event this summer sold out twice in one day

Jul 8 2021 Share

After 12 long months without being able to organise standing events, operators around Malta have been striving to create a safe space where attendees can dance stress-free and the Glitch Club Series has returned to make sure of that.

The popular Glitch Festival’s younger sibling was set to host 100 individuals upon presentation of vaccine certificate and ID card, but sold out within minutes, with the second event just a day after selling once more.

Damn we all missed this so much right? The extra Opening night has also sold out in less than 5 minutes. We hate…

This phenomenal instance speaks volumes about the island’s club scene’s yearning for a return to what we once familiarised ourselves with as normality and hopefully paves the way for a new, safe clubbing scene.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal response vehicle arrived outside the Courts of Justice building with the area being closed with police tape. Police officials and the force’s bomb squad entered the building to ensure that there was no danger.

All proceedings were paused after the police received a phone call at around 9.45am, with everyone returning to the building after an assurance that there was no threat.
