
Malta has continued their good form at the 2025 Games of Small States of Europe 2025 in Andorra, with the Maltese athletes winning yet another 7 medals to add to their total of 36.
Sasha Gatt managed to win her and Malta’s second gold medal in swimming, this time in the women’s 400m freestyle clocking in with a time of 4:17.52.
Malta also managed to win a bronze medal in swimming, with Michela Portelli coming in 3rd place in the final of the women’s 100m butterfly. Portelli finished the race with a time of 1:04.31.
A massive 5 medals were won in Athletics by Maltese athletes on Thursday.
A silver and a bronze medal were won by Malta in the final of the women’s 1,500m race, with the silver going to Gina McNamara and bronze being won by Mireya Bugeja.
McNamara’s time was 4:29.52 whilst Mireya Bugeja finished the race in 4:33.30.
Jared Micallef managed to win silver in the 1,500m with a time of 3:56.24, while Matthew Galea Soler claimed another silver in the 400m, clocking 47.09.
Ian Paul Grech secured bronze in the long jump with a 6.79m leap.
