As we continue to see athletes make Malta proud with their performances and determination, the country has just secured the 12th Gold Medal, breaking a national record in the process.
Malta had won 11 gold medals back in 2003, but Team Malta managed to one-up that score after their best ever results in three categories.
First up was Eleonor Bezzina, who won Gold in Target Shooting Women 10m Pistol. She was followed by two tennis medals, one for the men and one for the women, with the former sealing the 12 gold record.
As per other medals, Georgia Kate Bohl secured silver in the Swimming Women 200m Breastroke, with the Malta Teams securing silver in the Swimming Women 4x200m Relay.
Dylan Cachia won Bronze in the Swimming Men 400m Freestyle and Sasha Gatt won Bronze in the same category for women.
