Malta has topped yet another travel list, ranking first in Ryanair’s most underrated destinations on TikTok.

With its sunny beaches, rich history, and delicious cuisine, the island continues to cement itself as a top European tourist hotspot.

Joining Malta in the top five were Spain’s Seville in second place, followed by Verona in Italy, Tallinn in Estonia, and Finland’s winter wonderland, Rovaniemi.

Malta’s ties with Ryanair have strengthened over the years, with the airline playing a key role in the country’s connectivity. Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary even recently stated, “We think we’re now the official airline of Malta,” highlighting the airline’s growing presence on the island.

Three years ago, Abrazo opened its doors with a simple but powerful idea—fresh flavours, real connections, and a space that feels like home. Today, as they celebrate their third anniversary, it’s clear that Abrazo has become more than just a juice bar. It’s a lifestyle, a meeting place, and a community.

Abrazo 3The Abrazo story began with two friends, Godwin Mckay and Sean Zachory Ellingsen, who met in Copenhagen in 2019. Their bond was built on a shared love for coffee, good food, and great company. They dreamed of opening a place that reflected their values, but the idea remained just that—a dream.

That all changed in 2021 when Sean visited Malta for the first time. Inspired by the island’s energy, they decided: this is where it should happen. One year later, Abrazo was born. Their concept? Simple but different. Not just a juice bar. Not just a coffee shop. But a place where everything comes together. And the people of Malta embraced it. In 2023, Abrazo expanded, launching a second location near the Skate Park by the University of Malta—a spot that quickly became a favourite hangout.

Singer Miriana Conte has been admitted to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment following a traffic accident in Żebbuġ this morning, PBS reports.

A Police spokesperson informed TVMnews that the incident occurred around 10:30am on Triq l-Imdina, involving Conte and a car driven by a 40-year-old man from Birkirkara.

The other driver reportedly escaped uninjured.

Conte was taken to hospital for examination after reportedly being left in a state of shock. It is understood that she was en route to her first official engagements following her victory at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday night with the song ‘Kant’.

Archbishop Charles Scicluna delivered a heartfelt tribute to Monsignor Victor Grech during the praesente cadavere Mass at St. John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta, attended by Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Galea-Curmi. In his homily, the Archbishop described Monsignor Grech’s voice as one of comfort, which conveyed the Word of the Lord with warmth and love. He was praised not only for his priesthood but also for his role as a shepherd, servant, and prophet who confronted the nation’s wounds, particularly those caused by addiction.

Archbishop Scicluna emphasized the late Monsignor’s commitment to healing, urging the community to follow his example by showing kindness, understanding, and forgiveness. He also urged people to look beyond faces and focus on the hearts of others, working towards unity.

The Archbishop also addressed those profiting from vices, stating, “The money you make from drugs, prostitution, and usury is cursed money.” He called on them to stop exploiting the vulnerable, especially youth, and to break free from the chains of exploitation. The message was clear: Monsignor Grech’s legacy was one of compassion and healing.
