According to the National Statistics Office, Malta welcomed an estimated 405,263 inbound tourists in July 2025, marking a 6.2% increase compared to the same month in 2024, according to the latest figures released on 12 September 2025.

Of these visitors, 381,366 came for holidays and 11,440 for business purposes. The largest age group was 0–24 years (36.1%), followed by 25–44-year-olds (32%). British, Italian, and French residents accounted for 44.2% of all inbound tourists.

Total nights spent by tourists increased slightly to 2.8 million, with most stays (87.3%) in rented accommodation.

The average length of stay was 6.8 nights, while total tourist expenditure rose 12.6% to €452.2 million, averaging €163.1 per night.

Gozo and Comino attracted 262,929 visitors, representing 64.9% of total tourists in July.

From January to July 2025, Malta recorded 2,210,992 inbound tourists, up 12.1% from 2024, spending a total of 13.4 million nights and €2,016.4 million a 19.1% increase over the same period last year.
