Malta Rangers Rescue Injured & Lost Birds

The Malta Ranger Unit has been busy assisting with bird rescues and rehoming.

Last month, several calls regarding pigeons and ducks were made after members of the public encountered them as they went along their day to day.

One pigeon had gone down a shaft of an apartment block in Qawra. The person living on the ground floor maisonette called for assistance and the rangers safely rescued the bird from the shaft 2 metres down.

Another duck was roaming the streets of Balzan/Attard, and was rescued by the rangers and eventually re-homed with a fosterer where it now lives in safety with other ducks.

Various news outlets reported the secret wedding as taking place in the European country in the heart of the Mediterranean, making this yet another case of celebrities picking the island for their special memories.

Goodrem, who is based in Sydney, topped the ARIA Albums Chart in 2003 with her debut studio album ‘Innocent Eyes’,

She has also been a coach for eight seasons of The Voice Australia, going on to win several awards and selling over eight million albums globally.

Marbled Electric Ray Spotted In Maltese Waters

Taking to social media, marine biologist Alan Deidun shared footage sent to him by Ryan Curmi of the marbled electric ray, known as ‘ħaddiela komuni’ in native Maltese.

The ray, spotted in local waters, is capable of delivering an electric discharge of 70 to 80 volts!

Even newly born rays are capable of delivering this electric discharge for hunting purposes.

However it does seem to have worked for the majority, with Mariah preparing a marks sheet for her colleagues. The iconic Maltese snack earned an average 4.7 out of 5 – performing better than the figolli!
