In a heartfelt tribute to mark Father’s Day, the Malta Police Force distributed a thoughtful sweet token of appreciation to recognise the dedication of its officers who are also fathers.

The initiative aimed to celebrate the men who juggle the responsibilities of policing and parenting, two of life’s most demanding roles.

Whether they serve on the front lines or in vital support capacities, these officers were honoured for their strength, commitment and leadership at work and at home.

The Force also extended gratitude to those who take on fatherly roles through mentorship, guidance, and care.

Happy Father’s Day to the everyday heroes who help keep Malta safe!

Jun 15 2025 Share

On Saturday, 14th June, at Tigullio, St Julian’s, Maltese comedy icon Steve Hili shaved off his trademark dreadlocks during The Big Shave Off, a one-of-a-kind charity comedy night in aid of Kellimni.com.

The event featured a brilliant line-up of comedians including James Ryder, Ed Vassallo, Dan Xuereb, Paige Possanza, Colin Fitz, and Hili himself. The night was packed with outrageous comedy games, wild forfeits, and plenty of heart, with all performers donating their time for free.

The following morning, Steve wrote, “The night was what we wanted – chaotic, naughty and with a lot of heart. And I think in our own small way we maybe made a tiny difference.” Hili took the time to mention and thank everyone who was part of the event. In yesterday’s post, Steve said, “We did it! And we raised a bit of cash for Kellimni.com.”

Comedian James Ryder, who was one of the performers at the event, posted, “First selfie with a post-shaved Steve Hili.”

Jun 15 2025 Share

This morning, Bernard Grech said that he has his own preferences for who should succeed him. However, he chose not to reveal any names and expressed faith in the party’s members to choose his successor.

Speaking on NET TV, days after announcing his resignation, Grech said several capable individuals could take on the role, though not all may be ready yet. “There should be no anointed candidate…members have the intelligence to make the right choice” he said.

Grech stepped down ‘for the good of the PN and the country”, saying the PN could no longer function under his leadership.

Grech stated he’ll give his full support to the next leader and urged party members to support whoever is chosen and called for a peaceful, inclusive process.

Grech also warned that Labour would continue working to weaken the PN “It’s up to us whether we want to help the PL or strengthen the party”.

The exhibition is part of a bigger plan called Malta Vision 2050, which invites all people in Malta and Gozo to think ahead and dream big.
