Malta just signed a major three-year deal with BLAST, one of the world’s top esports companies. This agreement is part of Malta Vision 2050 and aims to grow the island’s role in the global gaming and digital world.
With help from GamingMalta, this deal will bring nine international gaming events to Malta. One of the biggest will be the BLAST Premier Bounty S2 tournament, happening in August 2025. These events are set to attract fans, talent, and investment from around the world.
BLAST will also build a brand-new studio and operations centre in Malta. It will be full of top tech and will host live shows and top-level gaming competitions. This new hub will also create exciting jobs and help Malta connect with the global esports community.
GamingMalta and BLAST plan to support young Maltese talent. They will work with schools, universities, and gaming groups to help players, creators, and professionals grow. This means more chances for Maltese youth to find work and success in this fast-moving industry.
Minister Silvio Schembri said the deal is a big part of Malta’s future plans. It helps bring strong careers and real opportunities to young people.
Ivan Filletti, CEO of GamingMalta, said the agreement puts Malta at the top of the esports world. Robbie Douek, CEO of BLAST, added that the company is excited to bring energy, fun, and big events to the island.
