Malta is getting a brand new LIDL in Haz-Zebbug

German international discount retailer chain LIDL will be opening another outlet in the Haz-Zebbug area, with the building of the establishment having just been confirmed.

The Planning Authority revealed that the Board was satisfied with the changes which were done to the pending application. The new supermarket will open in a zone which once landmarked a Cortis factory. The board was allegedly also satisfied with the studies which concerned the impact of increasing traffic in this principal road.

Lidl has been present in Malta since 2008, opening its first store on the 24th of April in Santa Venera. This mark the 9th Lidl store opened on the Maltese islands.

MotoGP driver marries step sister and is now expecting a baby

MotoGP rider Miguel Olivera has recently announced that he and his wife Andreia Pimenta are expecting a child. The couple were married on the 26th of July and announced that they will be expecting only a week ago. Miguel and Andreia have gone viral on social media because of the fact that they are step-siblings, as Andrei is the daughter of Miguel’s dad’s second wife.

The couple kept their relationship a secret for nearly 11 years, only to announce it to the public when they got married. In his post Miguel said “This weekend we made the most important curve of our lives. We sealed our love through marriage and we want to share it with you.”

Only 3 weeks passed by until more good news hit, as Miguel announced again on his Instagram that they are expecting a child. The KMT rider said “Our lives will carry out with a special company” and “A job that will last the rest of our journey. Anxious to meet you my love” Many other riders and notable figures in motorsport, congratulated the Portuguese rider and wished him good luck in this incredible journey.

The heat is back for another round in Malta

After taking a bit of a breather (quite literally) from the scorching weather that dominated the island this past summer, the temperatures are making yet another comeback for an entire week. The Weather Page Malta is forecasting warm and humid weather to dominate for at least another week with temperatures feeling as hot as 38 degrees Celsius.

This is mainly due to very warm air coming up from Northern Africa and persists across the central Mediterranean. But this seems to be the last push for those who cannot stand these sizzling temperatures as by the week’s end we are expected to start seeing some differences in temperature. Stay hydrated and cool off for one last wave of sweat and overworked air-conditioners.

Paul’s next fight is against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. The fight will occur on the 29th of August in Jake’s home state of Ohio. According to various reports, Jake Paul is the favourite because of his experience in the ring, having already won 3 professional fights. Even though Tyron has never boxed before, he is said to be Paul’s toughest opponent yet in terms of striking.
