Onlyfans users crash similar site Fansly after sexual content ban

Onlyfans users crash similar site Fansly after sexual content ban
Aug 24 2021 Share

As OnlyFans site introduced an impending ban on explicitly sexual content which is set to come into effect in October, users have flooded a similar platform called Fansly. The online migration of content creators onto Fansly resulted in the crash of the site as a statement was issued by the platform revealing how 4000 applications were being received every hour.

As Fansly’s staff are working around the clock to expand their team to handle the volume of applications, OnlyFans is still facing immense criticism. Fansly too has criticised the decision by OnlyFans, hoping that they go back on their decision. The new site, which seems to be quickly becoming a user favourite, offers the ability to send mass messages instantly and 24/7 support. It is also commended for being sex worker and SFW content friendly.

Afghanistan’s LGBT community fearing for their lives after Taliban takeover

Afghanistan’s LGBT community fearing for their lives after Taliban takeover
Aug 24 2021 Share

Members of the underground LGBTIQ+ community of Afghanistan are currently fearing for their lives as the Taliban take over the country once again. Homosexuality and intercourse between people of such sexuality were punishable by death in the country for decades. Thankfully, the law hasn’t been applied since the end of Taliban’s first regime in 2001. The recent change in political power however has raised concerns of this law being implemented once again, with even greater levels of oppression being feared.

Nemat Sadat, the first public figure in Afghanistan to advocate for LGBTIQ+ rights, spoke to news portal Insider. He revealed how many are sending him important travel details to help them escape the country. Sadat himself left the country in 2013 to live in the United States after having received death threats for his activism. He is predicting that people of the community will be weeded out and exterminated in a move similar to Nazis during WWII.
