Malta’s government has donated another batch of 20,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines and 25,000 rapid testing kits to Caribbean nation Antigua and Barbuda.

This donation was made possible through the Maltese Health Ministry, following the efforts Malta makes to provide assistance to foreign nations in their own battle against the pandemic.

A press statement revealed that the vaccines and tests were delivered to Antigua with the assistance of Air Malta, which offered its services to ensure the safe delivery of these items. It was also a joint initiative in coordination with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Malta’s efforts, which resulted in the donation of up to 420,000 doses to countries in need is thanks to the coordination between officials from the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs, the Health Ministry and the Civil Protection Department.
