Health and Safety Authority warns men in viral leash photo of unsafe practice
Apr 7 2021 Share

After a photo depicting two men working on a balcony with one holding the other with a dog leash went viral , the Occupational Health and Safety Authority contacted the men advising them about unsafe conditions. Neither men were viewed to be wearing safety vests or helmets, with just a leash keeping one man from falling off the balcony. The authority managed to identify the location and the men involved.

The OHSA also warned anyone against sharing photos of unsafe construction practices on social media. It emphasised contacting the authority first so as to be notified of similar situations. The OHSA stated it will continue with necessary actions on this case.
